Feature on: Audacia Ray

[Audacia-Ray.jpg][AUDIO RESOURCE] I’ve been listening to the Sex is Fun podcast for awhile now and I found a great interview with Audacia Ray in the archives. I felt it was necessary to share it with you. Download it here now! They do define all types of sex workers and straighten out some illusions about the industry. Really great podcast! She’s a wonderful person that I look up to and she comes off as very intelligent. (via)

She used to be a nude model and sensual masseuse. You can find her all over the internet and it’s very worth it. It’s very cool that they talk about blogs and sex worker education. I definitly think that some of the most open and honest exploration can come from the slightly anonymous dialogue the internet provides. You should really listen to the whole thing if you have the time and take some notes if you can.
Audacia Ray has a wonderful website and blog. Here’s a lil bio you might enjoy:
Audacia Ray is a new media professional whose medium is sex. Over the past seven years, she has been a researcher and curator at the Museum of Sex, blogger for sites like Fleshbot and Naked City, author of the book Naked on the Internet, director of the award-winning porn film The Bi Apple, executive editor of $pread magazine, and adjunct professor at Rutgers University. She is also the vice president of Sex Work Awareness, the organization that will benefit from this calendar’s fundraising efforts. Her video podcast lives at LiveGirlReview.com and her blog WakingVixen turns five years old in 2009.
Lots of links, goodies and information! One excellent embodiment of what I see as a strong One Woman Show. She has crossed multiple platforms, written, educated, modeled, spoken, shared and more in many ways. If you have any suggestions for future featured vixens please send me an email at joodie@postlapsaria.net, I’d love to hear who you’re tuned into and why.
